The Invention Studio is a student-run makerspace open to all Georgia Tech students. It is staffed by Prototyping Instructors (PIs), student volunteers who are always on hand to train you and help with your projects. Use of the studio is free, and all majors and years are welcome. Open hours

Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 2 PM - 7 PM

Tuesday, Thursday: 10 AM - 2 PM


We are located on the second floor of the Manufacturing Related Disciplines Complex (MRDC).

Non-operating times

We are closed when the campus is closed. We are also closed from dead week of the current semester to the second week of the following semester.


Tours of the Studio are available during our open hours or after hours by special arrangement. If you are not a member of the Georgia Tech community, some documentation with be required prior to your tour.


You are welcome to be trained at anytime when the studio is open. Walk in and ask any PI for training on the various tooling. PIs can be identified by the yellow armband
